ATTIVITA' DIDATTICHE

SCHOOL PROJECT 

Every year our school joins various projects for the students.

These projects are usefull for our knowledge and enjoyment.

Here are some projects:

-Sound Waves:which helped  us to understand how the basis of a song are produced;

-“IL GIORNALINO”: teaches how to write a newspaper article, news, pictures and  stories;

-Theater: theaches how to be expressive in acting;

-Ceramic: make ceramic objects, cook them, shape and paint them;

-Murales: the students draw and color the walls of the school;

-“ Cucina Molecolare”: typical dishes of our territory are cooked;

-Chrismas Market: all the students in this project create objects and then sell them and the money is given for  charity;

-Flamenco: there are many girls who dance flamenco with a professional teacher and in the end there is a show;

-Erasmus: many guys came to our school to meet new people and traditions;

All these projects are carried out with the presence of a teacher and they are usually in the afternoon.

I attended in  Suond Waves project last year, it was very interesting because I knew different apps to make a song base. At the end of the project our teacher let us produce a base and then we gathered them in a  CD.

I attended the Murales course where with Mr Carta , we painted the school walls , doing a great job. I advice everyone to take this afternoon course because it’s fun and interesting.

In the past I did “Giornalino” and Flamenco these were fantastic in particular I enjoyed a lot  the “Giornalino” when we where at the Etis Centre of Sicily. Thanks to this course I was able to discover the fantastic world of journalism.

This year,  I attend murales, this course is beautiful but also difficult because it needs a lot of precison.

I was in the Erasmus project and I hosted a Spanish girl of about sixteen in my house. It has been a wonderful week and full of unique and beautful moments.

Last year I attended the theater project. It was very nice because I learned expressive reading and how to act.

Conflicts

Adolescence is a very delicate period for all of us. Often leads us to live conflict situations with our own friends. So the balance begins to break due to prejudice and rudeness.

The school is a place where these scenes mostly occur. One example of conflicts is bulling and cyberbulling, but there are also different types, like a boy who can generate a conflict for different opinions and tends to affirm his idea. In our class it has happened, a girl wanted to affirm the fact that music was easy, on the contrary all the others said that playing the flute was difficult. This conflict lasted all morning and in the afternoon, in chat, we continued. After a while we clarified, not everything is easy for everyone, and there are those who are good at something and others at otherthings.

Another problem is about the groups that are formed in a class, leaving out the other students, for example because of their physical aspect.

Often the personal problems are caused by problems in the family. This causes a circle in which low self-esteem is followed by low expectation of success that causes little commitment that generates failures.

Music and sports

Our school Salvatore Quasimodo always organized projects for his students.

This year on the 5th of November, Nello Alessi,a famous musican came at school for a lesson- concert.

He played the guitar with his son Simone, that is the guitar teacher of our school.

They played music of Bach, Schubert and Mendelsshon, trasformed in guitar version.

It has been a splendid show.

Last year the school mode volleyball, handball and rugby teams .

The volleyball team arrived second in the regional phase.

The famale rugby teams arrived first in the regional phase.

The male rugby team last for one point againist the Vannantò team.

The atletic team arrived first at regionale phase.

The school parteciped at the chess competicion with excellent results.
